For all nature lovers, the best way to explore the island of Ugljan is walking and cycling, which is ideal for learning about the rich historical heritage of the island, but also for recreation in nature.
Create your adventure, driving through hidden coves, enjoying the beautiful surroundings of the sea, sun, islands and coves. Your stay in Ugljan is not complete if you have not visited:
the medieval Venetian fortress of Sv. Mihovil with a beautiful view of over 200 islands of the Zadar archipelago. The best time to visit is at sunset.
Villa Rustica – ancient oil mill in Muline from the 1st century, is a witness to 2000 years of olive growing tradition in Dalmatia
Monastery of St. Jerome on Ugljan and Sv. Paul on the islet of Galevac (Školjić) in front of Preko from the 15th century, and numerous small medieval churches scattered throughout the island
Beach Hunting – discover more than 500 islands, islets and cliffs by boat, anchor in a lonely romantic bay. The island of Ugljan has more than 72 km of coastline, crystal blue clear sea and green pine forests that attract all guests who find themselves here in the summer. There are several sandy and pebble beaches in the area, and one of the most beautiful in the Mediterranean is Saharun.
Daily excursions (boat and van) to National Parks and Nature Parks are available from 30 to 50 EUR / person, boat rental from 100 to 500 EUR / day (depending on size and equipment), bike rental 13 EUR / day, moped 35 EUR / day…
